I've picked the  movie The Roommate because my group are creating a thriller and the movie is also a thriller.
THE MACRO ELEMENTS

The Story of the movie The Roommate is about 2 girls who befriend themselves in university and become close, however one of the girls start to get obsessed with her roommate that she befriended. when her friend finds a new friend she becomes very jealous and makes a decision to do anything to keep her close.The films characters help draw the audience get drawn into the movie because as the girl gets obsessed with her roommate she becomes very obsessive and dangerous. this is an aspect that everyone can relate to because a lot of people will have a roommate at one point in their life if they havnt already.

THE MICRO ELEMENTS

the camera work links very well with the mood of the film because a lot of the scenes are dark which creates a mysterious theme to it.
Mise-en-scene: location, Props, lighting and settings all link well with the theme of the thriller and mysteriousness of the movie because a lot of the shots are dark which reflect the character.
