Title sequence
I will make a discrete title sequence that shows various parts of the storyline/plot but doesn't give away the hole thing. I want it to confuse the audience so that they wonder why something was shown in the title sequence so that when they watch the film and realise why it gives the audience pleasure and fulfilment of expectations.
Storyline/Plot idea:
Intro - *flashback to a high school*
Popular girl walking through the hallway. The 'weird' kid is watching and makes his move to talk to her and tell her he likes her. As he got near to her the sporty guys pushed him into the lockers and took the girl in a different direction.
*short sequences of flash forwards*
Each one showing her 'hook up' with a different guy getting used every time and each ends with her in tears.
Middle - *present day in the girls apartment (night time)*
Phone rings as she slowly drifts off to sleep while watching tv. She answers the phone and says "hello" but no one says anything back. She continues to say "hello" then the other person hangs up, she questions her self asking who could that be then there is a knock on the door, she gets up to answer it and sees there's no one there.
The girl begins to meet each one of the boys from her past who used her but doesn't realise she is being watched by that 'weird' kid who used to go to her school. She goes on dates with each of the guys and after each one a letter came to the house the day after with a persons finger inside.
All of the boys who used her are now found out to be dead (news reports) and the girl is watching this at home. She then realised that the reports said each victim was missing a finger, and quickly after she realised the finger she was receiving in the post was from the dead body's of the boys who used her in high school.
End - *in the girls apartment*
It's night time and the girl is asleep on her living room sofa. The tv is on and the news is showing images of the 'suspected killer' (the face shown is the 'weird' kids). Her house phone rings and she wakes up to answer it, similarly like the last time she says hello and no one answers. She pauses and says hello one last time and a deep twisted voice says "hello beautiful, do you remember me" and then does a crooked laugh. The girl is frozen with fear and hangs up. At that second there was a knock on the door. She was too scared to open it but then heard the voices of kids saying trick or treat, and she remembered it was Halloween. She opened the door and gave them candy. The door then knocked again, so innocently she went to open it thinking it was trick or treaters but to her surprise the door opens slowly before she could get to it. A tall dark figure appears at the door and walks slowly towards the girl. She tries to run but he blocks her way and locks the door. He asks her "do you remember who I am" but she is too scared to reply. He laughs and tells her his that 'weird' kid she always ignored. She realises it was him sending the fingers and she asks him why.
*flashback to the scenes of the girl crying after getting used*
As the girl is crying the camera pans out each time focusing on the 'weird' kid seeing what's happening. He gets angry and starts punching things and each time says I'm going to get them back for making her cry.
*flash forward to present day*
The girl crys and is shocked that he did that for her. He then reveals his love to her and asks her to be with him. She declined his offer and then began to get aggressive lecturing him on why what his done is wrong. He stays quiet, giggles and then says "if I can't have you then no one can" the girl begins to scream as he approaches her and he pulls out a big machete from his coat, the camera goes to outside the window of the house looking in to the two obscure shilouets of people, a loud chopping noise is heard and blood splatters all over the window.
*fade to black*
