Insidious have a Twitter, Instagram and Facebook account with various pages in relation to them. Multiple video clips promoting the film was uploaded to YouTube and were shared globally between audiences.
Unfriended similarly had Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts and also uploaded clips on YouTube to promote the sharing of the film globally. As there plot was based around computers and the internet it excelled quickly with promotion as the people surfing the Internet felt it related to them more as they was currently doing something similar to the plot.

Both of the films was widely released in cinemas globally. American audiences was the first to view the movie as they was both made by American film studios.
