A genre means a type or category, for example a comedy is something a lot of people like to watch because it makes them laugh. a genre that includes characters, props, location. A genre shows the audience the types of films they are watching and also gets people liking the types of films they watch. A lot of genre's are the same and the features are the same. For example in horror films they have a killer and there are always two or more deaths in a horror film.
